Today, the US$ 140 000 Sanex WTA Tour tennis event started in Estoril, Portugal. In the first round Kaias opponent was the second seed Bulgarian Lubomira Bacheva, who is ranked 110th in WTA ranking as of April 1st. After a rain-break that lasted almost the whole day it appeared that Kaia had to play in the evening and it was set to take place on the Centre Court. Unfortunately, all these factors did not have a positive effect on Kaia's confidence - Kaia lost in two close sets 6-7 5-7. After coming back from Portugal Kaia focuses on preparing for the Fed Cup that starts on April 22nd.
