Kaia defeated Stephanie Foretz of France 3-6 7-5 6-1 in the first round of US Open Tennis Championships. In the second round she will meet Youlia Fedossovaof France.

In the third round of US Open Tennis Championships Kaia lost to Virginie Razzano of France 5-7 2-6. In doubles first round match, Kaia and Gabriela Navratilova lost to Nathalie Dechy/Vera Zvonareva in three sets 5-7 6-1 3-6.
