Kaia’s own words: “It was very difficult and competitive match today. After food poisoning in Mexico and viral illness in Indian Wells, it was physically very hard for me. I got tired rather fast today.
At times I played well and then she played well. The ups and towns changed quite fast. In tiebreaks I was more aggressive and it went well, especially in the last tiebreak. In third set it would have been physically very tough for me. I had to take more risks in the end and it paid off.”
