Kaia reached the quarterfinal at the $25,000 ITF Women's Circuit tournament in Båstad, Sweden. In the first round she defeated Petra Russegger (Austria) 6-3 6-3; in today's match, she beat Magda Mihalache (Romania) 6-4 6-1.

In tomorrow's quarterfinal Kaia will meet Jana Hlavackova (Czech Republic).
