At the $25,000 ITF Women's Circuit tournament in Maglie, Italy Kaia made it to the main draw by beating Claudia Ivone (Italy) 7-6(1) 6-2. In the first round of qualifying Kaia played against local girl Carla Genovese and won 6-0 6-1. In the first round Kaia will meet Valentina Sassi from Italy. Kaia takes part in doubles tournament as well - together with Maria Wolfbrandt (Sweden). They will meet Nuria Llagostera Vives and Maria Jose Marinez (Spain). Both first round matches will be played on Tuesday.

At the $25,000 ITF Women's Circuit tournament in Maglie, Italy Kaia made it to the second round. In the first round she defeated Valentida Sassi of Italy (283) in straight sets 6-3 6-4 and meets 4th seed Edina Gallovits of Romania in Thursday. In doubles first round Kaia and her doubles partner Maria Wolfbrandt of Sweden showed great fighting skills against top seeds Nuria Llagostera Vives & Maria Jose Martines of Spain - they lost only in three sets 6-4 5-7 4-6.

In the second round of $25,000 ITF Women's Circuit tournament in Maglie, Italy Kaia defeated 4th seeded Edina Gallovits of Romania in three sets 3-6 6-3 6-3. In tomorrow's quarterfinal she will meet Nuria Llagostera-Vives of Spain (ranked 216). Kaia has already played against her - two years ago in Modena. Then the quarterfinal match was won by Kaia 6-3 4-6 6-1.

In the quarterfinal of $25,000 ITF Women's Circuit tournament in Maglie, Italy Kaia had to face a defeat - she lost against 7th seed Nuria Llagostera Vives (Spain) 1-6 6-7 (4-7). Kaia earned 12,5 ranking points during this week, so these will help her back to top 300 (around 290th ranking) in WTA rankings that will be published in May 12th. Also, for the first time after the tournament in Porto, played in April 2002, Kaia got 4 consecutive victories from one tournament. Well done!
Kaia will play her next tournament in Bromma, Sweden ($25,000), starting on May 11th.
