Kaia defeated German Kathrin Woerle 7-6 (7-5) 6-2 in first round of ITF Women's Circuit 75K tournament in Denain, France. Kaia's next round opponent will be decided in match between top seed Arantxa Parra Santonja (ESP) and wild card Samia Medjahdi (ALG).

In doubles, Kaia and Lina Stanciute (LIT) will meet Zsofia Gubacsi & Mariya Koryttseva in first round.

Kaia had to retire in the beginning of second set (4-6 1-1)against Arantxa Parra Santonja of Spain after the pain in her back started seriously influence Kaia's serving abilities. According to the tournaments official physiotherapist the injury is not very serious, so that Kaia should be able to compete at WTA 170K tournament in Kolkata, India in two weeks.

Kaia earned the spot in Kolkata main draw by winning the 75K ITF tournament in Fano in the beginning of July (feed-up spot).
