Kaia had to retire due to back injury.

Kaia’s own words: „My back started to hurt yesterday during practice but then the pain went away. Today, after first games it was evident that the pain was back. I did take a medical break but it did not help much and I had to retire. I will stay here for some days and get help from WTA physiotherapists. With strains, usually the best cure is to rest.“

Kaia’s participation in the next tournaments will be decided in the beginning of March.
