Kaia reached the semifinal at the $175,000 WTA Tour tournament in Hasselt, Belgium. In today's quarterfinal she defeated 2nd seed Francesca Schiavone of Italy in straight sets 6-2 7-5.

In tomorrow's semifinal she will meet Michaella Krajicekof the Netherlands. Krajicek advanced with a 6-3 6-4 victory over 3rd seed Ana Ivanovic of Serbia.
