At the $25,000 ITF Women's Circuit tournament in Galatina, Italy Kaia made it to the main draw by beating Jana Hlavackova of Czech Republic (#251) in three sets
6-3 3-6 6-4.
In the first round of qualifying Kaia played against local girl Giorgia Brunetti and won 6-2 6-0 and in second round she defeated Jaslyn Hewitt of Australia with the same score.
Main draw starts tomorrow, but Kaia will play her first round match on Wednesday - her opponent will be 174th ranked Maria Emilia Salerni of Argentina. Tomorrow, together with Margalita Chaknashvili of Georgia Kaia will play her first round match in doubles.
